ICE CUBE: 'AMERICA DIDN'T CARE ABOUT KATRINA VICTIMS'
Rapper ICE CUBE is convinced the US government's slow response to Hurricane Katrina last year (05) may as well have been "a plot" - because it showed the authorities didn't care enough. The hip-hop star believes the authorities could have acted quickly and saved many more lives on the Gulf Coast - but he claims they just didn't want to. He says, "I don't know if it was their plot but I know that no one had a plan. "To me, not caring or not caring enough to help those people in a timely manner, that's just as bad as planning it. That's as cruel as blowing the levee. "If they didn't get it together it's because they didn't want to get it together. "Nor do I think America has learned from it."

I agree with Ice Cube on the timely manner of the government. Many lives could
have been saved if they wanted to truly help them...but I have learned that
"actions speak louder than words" This is a touchy subject to many, and it is
truly unfair. This government hurries to the rescue of other countries but they
did not rush to help their own people..and it is not right. It has been a year
and these people (not refugees) still have no place to call home...they should
have been in a stable place! It is tryly unfair.
