I AM LEGEND CONTINUES TO DOMINATE GLOBAL BOX OFFICE
WILL SMITH proved the only man on earth who could top the first international box office chart of 2008 - his I AM LEGEND beat out competition from THE GOLDEN COMPASS to remain the world's number one film. I Am Legend, in which Smith plays the last man alive, proved the most popular movie in cinemas outside the U.S. after taking a further $34 million (GBP17 million). It's total haul now stands at $170.2 million (GBP85.1 million). The Golden Compass sits at two with $29 million (GBP14.5 million), while sequel National Treasure: Book Of Secrets is at three with $19.1 million (GBP9.55 million).
