HUTCHENCE BIOPIC OFFICIAL
LATEST: Tragic INXS star MICHAEL HUTCHENCE is to return from the grave in a new biopic produced by MORGAN FREEMAN.
The film, tentatively titled Slide Away - the name of the duet the singer performed with U2's Bono, will feature Hutchence's ghost recalling his wild life to daughter Tigerlily.
Longtime INXS videomaker Michael Egan will direct the film, while bosses at Freeman's Revelations Productions company are now on the search for an actor to play Hutchence's ghost. Initial reports suggest Johnny Depp is the frontrunner for the part.
But it's unlikely Hutchence's INXS bandmates will play any part in the film, even though members of the late rocker's family have given producers their blessing.
The group's publicist, Chrissy Camp, says, "The band has never been involved in any of these films and I really don't think this one will be any different."
Hutchence accidentally hanged himself while performing a sex act in a Sydney, Australia hotel in November, 1997.

Firstly.... "The band has never been involved in any of these films and I
really don't think this one will be any different." ....In any of these films?
I wasn't aware that there had already been a biopic made or any film of
Michael's life.No, the 'band' would NOT be part of it.We'll be lucky if any of
'the band's' music will be permitted to be used.It isn't usually if it's
something for Michael.They don't like us to remember Michael though it's
alright for them to use their back catalogue of which Michael wrote the lyrics
to almost every song!
Secondly... "Hutchence accidentally hanged himself while performing a sex act
in a Sydney, Australia hotel in November, 1997."....How many times do we have
to read this??? It is well known that this was a fabrication by a journalist at
the time of Michael's death to sensationalise the story.I suppose it makes much
better reading than suicide.After almost 10 years i think it's time poeple got
their facts right and stopped printing this rubbish!
