A Canadian ice hockey star who dated RACHEL HUNTER and ELISHA CUTHBERT has been taken to a New York hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.
New York Rangers player Sean Avery was found unconscious on Wednesday morning (30Apr08) after his team's National Hockey League playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night (29Apr08).
Avery, who was set to intern at Vogue magazine this summer (08), reportedly suffered a lacerated spleen during the Rangers game, and was told he'd miss the rest of the playoffs.
He split from 24 star Cuthbert last summer (Aug07) after an 18month romance.
