HUFFMAN NAMED BREAST CANCER AMBASSADOR
Actress FELICITY HUFFMAN has been named an ambassador for a new breast cancer awareness campaign. The Desperate Housewives star will appear in a U.S. TV advertisement called If You Were My Sister, which aims to increase awareness among breast cancer survivors about reducing the risk of recurrence. The public service announcement was developed by the charity Women's Cancer Programs Of The Entertainment Industry Foundation and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. Huffman says, "Unfortunately, breast cancer can return, and many women lack vital information about how to reduce their risk of recurrence. "That's why I am involved in this important campaign on behalf of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. We have all had family and friends who are touched by this disease, and I want to help educate women about what they need to know, and can do, to reduce their risk."
