HUDSON LINKS SMOKING TO PREGNANCY RUMOURS

KATE HUDSON was left feeling miserable when she recently quit smoking - because the extra weight she gained during her nicotine battle fuelled a string of pregnancy rumours.
The Almost Famous actress, who is dating baseball star Alex Rodriguez, was recently forced to deny she was expecting a baby with her lover after pictures appeared in the press showing her sporting a swollen stomach.
Hudson puts the weight gain down to her decision to give up cigarettes - and she was shocked to see her body battles become headline news.
She tells Britain's OK magazine, "Quitting meant eating more. Then, there were rumours in the press saying I was pregnant. Later somebody said, 'When did you quit smoking?' And I was like, 'Right about the time everybody thought I was pregnant.'"
