HUDSON CYNICAL ABOUT KATRINA CELEBRITY RELIEF
Actress KATE HUDSON is glad she didn't join the celebrities who initially flocked to help the New Orleans locals devastated by last year's (05) Hurricane Katrina - because they all looked so self-serving. The movie star, who fell in love with the city while she was filming horror movie SKELETON KEY there, has yet to return because she has so many happy memories of New Orleans. And she can't help but feel a little cynical about the stars who drove truck loads of toys, food and clothing to Louisiana in the aftermath of the storms. She explains, "I have this really strange thing, and maybe it's a fault of mine, that sometimes I feel that even if you're trying to do a great job that it always looks self-serving. "I never want anybody to ever think that. I would much rather be quiet about it and do it a little bit differently so you'd never see me down there (for a charity)."
