HOWARD SUED BY BROADWAY COMPOSER OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT
Oscar nominee TERRENCE HOWARD is facing a $5 million (GBP3 million) lawsuit from a composer who claims the actor attacked him backstage at the Broadway play they worked on together earlier this year (08).
Tex Allen accuses Howard of punching him the face while he rehearsed music for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in January.
In legal papers obtained by the New York Post, the composer - who gives no explanation for the alleged assault - claims the incident ruined his music playing, and he is seeking the huge sum in damages.
Howard starred alongside James Earl Jones and Phylicia Rashad in the New York revival of Tennessee Williams' classic play.
