HOUSTON TO HIT THE ROAD

Pop superstar WHITNEY HOUSTON is to hit the road for her first tour in 11 years.
The singer has returned to the spotlight this year (09) following a much-publicised battle with drugs and the breakdown of her marriage to Bobby Brown.
She topped the U.S. album chart with her new release I Look To You and now she has announced she will follow up the record with a world tour - her first since the My Love Is Your Love tour in 1999.
Houston will begin her global trek in 2010 and has scheduled dates in the U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium, with the rest of the concerts set to be announced in the next few days.
Houston says in a statement, "This is my first full tour since the My Love Is Your Love tour, and I am so excited to be performing for my fans around the world after all this time. I am putting together a great show, and cannot wait to perform the songs from my new album I Look To You along with some of your favourites."

I don’t think it is right that Whitney Houston is going overseas to perform first. In fact it is wrong since her last performance was over there. When was the last time she did a U.S. tour? We are all entitled to have a meltdown, but like Britney (after her breakdown) she made sure to come back to the U.S. for the fans. I am not sure if they give her more support or what? The fact of the matter is this: Whitney Houston has a United States fan base too and needs to add that to her tour dates. I really don’t want to hear that she is tired either. The United States fans want and need to see her… period! Sorry this sounds so bold but there is much frustration here! What is the deal people? Unless she plans on flying me out there, I will have a problem with this. Personally I purchased 10 new albums (as Christmas Gifts) to show my support. I can guarantee if the label sold her albums at the concerts in the US and much needed memorabilia the US tour will be a huge money maker and increase record sales. Truly a Whitney Fan!
