HOUGH SUFFERING FROM ENDOMETRIOSIS, NEEDS SURGERY
Country singer and DANCING WITH THE STARS contender JULIANNE HOUGH is awaiting surgery to remove her appendix, after she was diagnosed with endometriosis.
The professional dancer was hospitalised last week (ends24Oct08) suffering from a mystery stomach ache.
Now the 20-year-old has released a statement on her website, confirming doctors have found signs of endometriosis, a common occurrence among women, symptomised by a growth on the uterus.
The statement reads, "After consulting with her doctor, this was the course of treatment that was recommended."
It's unknown when the surgery will take place, or if it will affect her appearance on the reality show, in which she dances with partner Cody Linley.
