HORN UNDERGOES KNEE SURGERY
Magician ROY HORN is recovering after undergoing an operation in Austria to rebuild the knee that was ruined in a savage onstage tiger attack.
The showman - one half of legendary Las Vegas duo Siegfried + Roy - was left in a life-threatening condition after a white Bengal tiger used in the magicians' Mirage Hotel and Casino spectacular mauled him during an October 2003 performance.
Horn went under the knife in Graz on Monday (12May08) to receive a knee cartilage transplant, and doctors have revealed his condition is "given the circumstances, very satisfactory".
Siegfried + Roy are due to return to the Las Vegas stage in February 2009 - their first since the near-fatal incident.
