HOOK'S BOOK TO TELL ALL ABOUT THE HACIENDA

Former NEW ORDER bassist PETER HOOK is writing a new book about the rise and fall of the iconic Hacienda nightclub the band once owned.
Hook, his bandmates and their bosses at record label Factory founded The Hacienda in their home town of Manchester, England, back in 1982 - inspired by their experiences on the New York nightclub scene.
The venue became a huge success before collapsing and closing in 1997 due to financial problems.
The club was immortalised in Michael Winterbottom's 2002 movie 24 Hour Party People and will be further documented in Hook's book, The Hacienda - How Not To Run A Club, which will hit bookstores on 5 October (09).
