HOOK: 'NEW ORDER WAS AN EMPTY SHELL'

PETER HOOK has described his last days in former band NEW ORDER as "an empty shell" - because communication between the rocker and frontman BERNARD SUMNER had completely broken down.
Hook left the group in early 2007, but admits relations between Sumner and fellow bandmembers Stephen Morris had been bad for some time before his departure.
And he confesses that he'd already made up his mind about quitting the band in 2006, during their world tour.
He says, "I told him every night after the Brazilian tour that I wasn't going to do this again. I did Brazil for the money. I just felt it was like an empty shell, New Order. It really was for me. I can't talk for the others."
