CAPOTE star PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN has been crowned the king of all things arthouse in a new US magazine poll. The celebrated actor beat Mexican hunk GAEL GARCIA BERNAL, FORREST WHITAKER and fellow Oscar winner JULIETTE BINOCHE to claim the top spot in Paste magazine's Arthouse Powerhouse 2006 list, which celebrates the most important stars of independent films. Meanwhile, RICHARD LINKLATER beat MICHEL GONDRY and ANG LEE to claim the lead in the Best Arthouse Directors list. The top 10 in the new Powerhouse poll is: 1. PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN 2.
