HILTON SUED OVER MOVIE PROMOTION

PARIS HILTON is being sued by a company that alleges the socialite owes them $75,000 (GBP37,500) for not fully promoting a movie she starred in.
Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. filed a lawsuit in Miami last week (ends08Aug08), alleging that the 27-year-old owes them the sum for not fulfilling promotional obligations.
The hotel heiress is said to have entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of the movie National Lampoon's Pledge This!, in which she starred, according to the lawsuit.
The Miami-based company claims it paid Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., $1 million (GBP500,000) for her acting services and for "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the movie, which was released in 2006 and featured Hilton as the president of an exclusive sorority.
