HILTON GUERILLA ARTIST STRIKES AGAIN WITH GUANTANAMO PRANK

A week after doctoring 500 copies of PARIS HILTON's debut album, British guerilla artist BANKSY has placed a life-size replica of a Guantanamo Bay detainee in Disneyland. Banksy, who hails from Bristol, England and whose real identity has not yet been revealed, stuck the hooded mannequin inside the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride at the weekend (09/10SEP06). The dummy detainee was dressed up in an orange boiler suit and was not moved from its spot at the California theme park for 90 minutes. The ride was eventually closed and the mannequin removed. A spokeswoman for Banksy says the prank was to draw attention to the plight of terror suspects at the controversial Cuban detention centre. Last week (ends08SEP06) GNARLS BARKLEY producer DANGERMOUSE confirmed reports he was responsible, alongside Banksy, for the CD prank on Hilton's album disc PARIS. The pair doctored 500 copies of the disc, and then smuggled them into branches of music store HMV around Britain. The pair, who have both worked with GORILLAZ, replaced Hilton's sugary pop with new beats, while the album artwork was altered so that Hilton's dog replaced her face and the singer's breasts were exposed on the cover. The track listing reads as a series of inane questions, including, "Why am I famous?" and "What am I for?"
