HERZOG TO HEAD BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL JURY

German director WERNER HERZOG will head the jury at next year's (10) BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL.
Herzog, currently overseeing the release of his latest project, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, was chosen because he "influenced an entire generation of filmmakers", festival boss Dieter Kosslick has announced in a statement.
Kosslick adds, "Werner Herzog's films convey the artistic strength of cinema. We are very pleased to have this outstanding director as jury president for the 60th anniversary of the festival."
The festival will run from 11 to 21 February, 2010.
