Celebrated moviemaker Warner Herzog once bet a cast of "midgets" he would jump into a cactus if the little stars made it to the end of the film unscathed. The German director had to live up to his word when his stars completed the film - without serious injury. He tells Esquire magazine, "I was shooting a film with an entire cast of midgets, and one caught fire and was run over by a car. He was completely unhurt. "I was so astonished, I told the cast that if they all escaped filming unscathed, I would jump into a cactus for their amusement. And they did, so I jumped into a cactus."
