HAYES ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED RACIAL ASSAULT

Former SAVAGE GARDEN singer DARREN HAYES has been arrested following an alleged racist assault in London. The singer is accused of verbally attacking a member of waiting staff at Thai restaurant Busaba Eathai in Soho on 22 July (07), and voluntarily handed himself into local police after the incident. A spokesperson for Westminster police says, "He was arrested after voluntarily attending a police station by appointment. "He has been released on bail pending further inquiries."
