HAWKINS IN STROP AFTER EUROVISION LOSS

Former DARKNESS frontman JUSTIN HAWKINS was so devastated he was not chosen to represent the UK in this year's (07) Eurovision Song Contest, he stormed off and snubbed his fellow contestants at the afterparty for the BBC TV show MAKING YOUR MIND UP. Hawkins was beaten by British pop group SCOOCH, whose song FLYING THE FLAG (FOR YOU) was chosen as the UK entry by viewers of the BBC contest. A source says, "He was a complete diva. He got in a right old strop because he wasn't picked." Scooch also saw off competition from ex-EAST 17 singer BRIAN HARVEY, former ATOMIC KITTEN singer LIZ MCCLARNON, London hip-hop collective BIG BROVAZ and solo star CYNDI to sing at the televised final in Helsinki, Finland on 12 May (07).
