THE DARKNESS - HAWKINS FOR THE HOUSE?

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

HAWKINS FOR THE HOUSE?

The outrageous frontman of The Darkness, Justin Hawkins, has been hotly-tipped to enter the celebrity Big Brother house.

Hawkins, 31, hit the UK charts in 2003 with the Brit award winning album, Permission to Land. However, success came tinged with trouble and led to Hawkins spending time in the infamous rehabilitation centre, the Priory, to deal with his alcohol and drug addiction. He left the band in October to pursue a solo career.

The show begins on January 3rd and will see a host of 'celebrities' cooped up in the Big Brother house for five weeks in order to get their paws on the cash prize.

Other celebrities rumoured to be appearing include Conservative MP Boris Johnson, Baywatch star David Hasselhoff and Adam Ant.

Last year saw Maggot from Welsh rap band Goldie Lookin' Chain live alongside Ordinary Boys singer, Preston. Soon after leaving the house, Preston went on to marry 'civilian' (to use Liz Hurley's fabulous term) and winner of the series, Chantelle.

So will his falsetto tones be a feature of the diary room? Channel four bosses aren't saying yet.
