HATHAWAY ASKED TO COLLECT DOG

ANNE HATHAWAY has been asked to retrieve her pet dog from the New York apartment she shared with jailed ex-boyfriend RAFFAELLO FOLLERI.
Hathaway ditched the Italian businessman earlier this month (Jun08), after discovering his unscrupulous business dealings, and fled their Trump Tower apartment, leaving behind two year old chocolate Labrador Esmerelda.
According the New York Post, the pooch is being cared for at the pad by Follieri's mother, who is in New York undergoing cancer treatment - and unable to look after her properly.
A source tells the newspaper, "He (Follieri) can't afford a dog-walker and his mother has cancer. I feel bad for the dog. She's a beautiful, sweet dog."
Follieri, 29, has been charged with a dozen counts of federal wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering. He is behind bars until he can post $21 million (GBP10.5 million) bail.
