HASSELHOFF SADDENED BY DRUNKEN VIDEO

David Hasselhoff has said he is saddened by footage showing him drunk being leaked to US television networks.

The actor is a recovering alcoholic and the video, shot three months ago by his 16-year-old daughter Taylor-Ann, shows him sprawled on the floor topless, messily eating a hamburger.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, the CBS show that first acquired the footage, the former Baywatch star said: "It's really sad and really affecting my children."

Last year Hasselhoff filed for divorce after 16 years of marriage with Pamela Bach citing irreconcilable differences.

The 54-year-old also alleges that it was his estranged wife who was responsible for leaking the video tape.

In the video footage, shot at Hasselhoff's Las Vegas home, Taylor-Ann is heard to say: "Dad, look what this is doing to you. You have to stop drinking alcohol. Promise me you won't drink any more."

Hasselhoff had previously given his children permission to film him should he suffer a relapse and begin drinking again.
