HASSELHOFF EYES SHAKESPEARE
DAVID HASSELHOFF is desperate to prove he's more than just a TV and pop star - by trying his hand at a WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE play. The former BAYWATCH hunk believes he has what it takes to tackle the Bard's greatest works and is pleading for the chance to prove his thespian credentials. He's even considering a stint at London's most prestigious stage school so he can follow in SIR LAURENCE OLIVIER and SIR IAN MCKELLEN's footsteps and take on theatre's biggest roles. He says, "I'd love to appear in an (HENRIK) IBSEN play, or maybe do some Shakespeare. I wouldn't mind studying at RADA (the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts)." Hasselhoff is no stranger to the stage - he's already appeared in CHICAGO and will soon be starring in his own musical.
