LATEST: DAVID HASSELHOFF has denied his divorce of PAMELA BACH ended more amicably than it began, insisting if he'd known the stress it would cause, he would have suffered marriage longer. The former BAYWATCH star, 54, filed for divorce from the 42-year-old actress/singer on 12 January (06), citing "irreconcilable differences". It was finalised yesterday (27JUL06). Despite the fact the pair were awarded joint custody of their two daughters TAYLOR ANN, 16, and HAYLEY AMBER, 13, Hasselhoff denies tension between them has thawed, after Bach accused him of verbal and physical abuse and the actor alleged she was dependent on prescription drugs. He says, "What? No, they (relations) are not (civilised)! Nothing is more civilised! I got out of the relationship because the relationship wasn't rational. "I waited a long time to do it because I realised it was going to be difficult, but I never realised it was going to be this difficult. "If I had known, I think I would have stayed in the marriage, although eventually I would have died, it would have killed me."
