HARRY POTTER CHARACTER BASED ON HELL'S ANGEL
ROBBIE COLTRANE based his larger-than-life HARRY POTTER character HAGRID on a Hell's Angel. Coltrane was inspired by a beefy biker he knew in England, and copied many of his mannerisms to play JK ROWLING's beloved character in the movie adaptation of the kids' books. The Scottish recalls, "He used to get off his Harley and walk towards the bar. People would move like ants out of his way. "He would grab his pint, find a seat and say, 'I don't know about you, but the petunias this year are very bad.' "He was a gardener but he had fists like hams. He had a gentle heart."
