HARRISON'S CHARITY SUPER CONCERT TO BE REMEMBERED
Late BEATLE GEORGE HARRISON's landmark Concert For Bangladesh is to be remembered at the New York venue where it took place on its 35th anniversary. Harrison's widow, OLIVIA, will attend a ceremony tomorrow (01AUG06) at the Madison Square Garden's Walk of Fame, where a permanent plaque will be unveiled. The presentation will mark the first time in Garden history that a concert or event is honoured on the Walk of Fame. The 1971 charity show, which featured Harrison, ERIC CLAPTON, RINGO STARR, BOB DYLAN and RAVI SHANKAR, among others, is considered the first-ever star-studded benefit concert. The Concert for Bangladesh supported relief efforts by UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund.
