HARRIS TO NARRATE STIRRING DOCUMENTARY ABOUT NEGLECTED WAR BEACH

Revered movie star ED HARRIS is hoping to aid a World War II veteran's fight to clean up the site of one of the bloodiest Pacific battles for U.S. Marines by narrating a new film.
The actor has offered his voice to documentary Return to Tarawa: The Leon Cooper Story, which chronicles the veteran's battle to have the neglected hallowed ground - where thousands of U.S. troops lost their lives - named a permanent war memorial.
Cooper is leading a crusade to clean up piles of garbage mounting on Red Beach in Tarawa, and he has challenged top politicians to do something about it.
He says, "The piles of garbage, such as plastic bags and bottles, food wrappers, soiled diapers, and other trash is continuing to pile up. "It's an insult to the memory of all who fought and died there for their country."
