Actress MARISKA HARGITAY almost quit TV show LAW + ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT after giving birth to her first child last year (06). The 43-year-old welcomed son August into the world on 28 June and feared she'd never be able to drag herself away from him. She says, "First you think, 'I just can't be away from him. I have to quit acting.' "And then, at three months, your hormones balance out and things come more in perspective and you realise, we can sort of do it all."
