HARD-FI singer RICHARD ARCHER was stunned to be beaten by "crackhead" PETE DOHERTY to the Sexiest Male trophy at the NME Awards earlier this year (FEB06). The BABYSHAMBLES frontman and self-confessed drug addict shocked the media and his fellow rockers when he beat LIAM GALLAGHER, his former LIBERTINES bandmate CARL BARAT and Archer to win the title. Archer tells Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine, "At the NME awards, I was nominated for Sexiest Man but I didn't win it. "Crackhead Pete Doherty did."
