HARD-FI TO PLAY GLASTONBURY

Hard-Fi have been confirmed to play at Glastonbury festival as a surprise last-minute addition to the event line-up.

The Staines band are currently hard at work mixing their new album Once Upon a Time in the West which is due to be released in September.

But it seems the band were persuaded to take a break from the studio to perform the gig in aid of the Love Music Hate Racism movement which the band has supported throughout their career.

Hard-Fi will be on stage at 23:45 BST on the Saturday night and are sure to attract a large crowd to the Leftfield stage.

The band released their debut album Stars of CCTV in 2005 following on from a clutch of hit singles including Cash Machine, Hard to Beat and Tied Up Too Tight.

In 2006 the band headlined Brixton Academy for five nights, equalling the record set by the Clash in 1984.

All of the shows were sold out and coincided with the release of In Operation - a live album and DVD.
