HANSON TO UNDERGO FURTHER SURGERY

LATEST: ISAAC HANSON is preparing for a second session of surgery in a bid to cure him of a life-threatening illness. The 26-year-old was hospitalised after he experienced shoulder and chest pains during a Hanson gig in Dallas, Texas earlier this month (02Oct07) and underwent surgery to treat a pulmonary embolism. The singer is now taking blood-thinning medication to prevent future clots and has been scheduled for a December (07) operation to remove a rib pressing against a vein. Younger brother Taylor says, "Isaac is doing well and he's got a clean bill of health. We got back on the road, amazingly (four days after his first surgery). We are going to take a little break so he can have his surgery. Hopefully it will solve his problem."
