HANKS COLLECTS TYPEWRITERS
TOM HANKS' secret collection of typewriters has become such an obsession he has to pay a fortune to ship them from all corners of the world.
The Oscar winner boasts a haul of more than 100 manual, portable typewriters.
He says, "(I collect them) from the 1930s until they stopped making them."
And his hobby has cost him a small fortune in postage: "I bought a $5 typewriter from Australia that cost me $85 to ship."
