HAMMOND JR. LAUNCHES MENSWEAR LINE

THE STROKES star ALBERT HAMMOND JR. has joined the legions of celebrities stepping into fashion as he plans the launch of his own line of men's suits.
The guitarist is teaming up with celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati for his upcoming collection - after years of struggling with ill-fitting suits.
He says, "A lot of people hate suits, because when they fit terribly, they feel strange inside, like they're going to a bar mitzvah and they're 30.
"I want to make suits that I'm going to have for myself. They're for the person who needs his one suit for a wedding. He'd rather get something like this than go to Men's Wearhouse, pay the same amount, and look like an out-of-date parent."
Hammond Jr.'s line is set to launch this Autumn (08) in Urbinati's Los Angeles store.
