HALLYDAY HAS SURGERY TO TREAT CYST
Ageing French rocker JOHNNY HALLYDAY has undergone surgery to remove a small cyst from under his arm.
The 63-year-old had the two-hour operation in his homeland last weekend (05-07JAN07), but is recovering well and vows to be back on tour within days.
Hallyday was discharged from hospital after surgery and returned to a recording studio in Paris. He will continue his 10-month national tour on Saturday (13JAN07).
The MON PLUS BEAU NOEL hitmaker, real name JEAN-PHILLIPPE SMET, caused controversy last year (06) when he vowed to spend six months of the year in Gstaad, Switzerland, for tax reasons.
