HALLIWELL LANDS MOVIE ROLE

SPICE GIRLS star GERI HALLIWELL has landed a role in a new movie opposite THE TRANSPORTER star JASON STATHAM.
The singer has filmed a short appearance in action sequel Crank 2, which is due for release next year (09).
Halliwell previously played herself in 1997's Spice World and had a minor role in 2001's Fat Slags. She has also graced the small screen with a guest slot in an episode of Sex and the City.
The singer insists she was delighted to put her acting skills to the test once again.
She tells British magazine Hello, "I have just filmed a small part in the movie Crank 2. I play a chavvy (low-class) mother with a blacked out tooth and look like trailer trash.
"I'm trying to do things that I enjoy, that test my character and which are joyful, creative and funny."
