Former VAN HALEN star SAMMY HAGAR owes his vast fortune as a tequila tycoon to his frustrated wife, who insisted he cut back on his touring when he became a family man. The rocker is the brains behind premium tequila brand Cabo Wabo and he insists he'd still be permanently on the road if his wife hadn't insisted he find something else to occupy his time. He says, "As you get older, you get bored. I can't tour, like, 150 shows a year like I used to. I could but my wife would kill me and my kids wouldn't know me when I came home. "So you do 40 shows a year and you get all this time off and all this extra money, so you go, 'I think I'll do this, I think I'll do that,' and every now and then you get lucky. "I got lucky with the tequila. It was just a whim eight years ago."
