HAGAR MADE $80 MILLION FROM TEQUILA SALE

Former VAN HALEN star SAMMY HAGAR has revealed the sale of his Cabo Wabo tequila brand netted him $80 million (£57 million) in an afternoon.
The rocker sold 80 per cent of his beverage company last year (08) in a bid to expand the brand, and now he's sitting pretty on a massive fortune, with more cash rolling in all the time from his tequila project.
He tells Hustler magazine, "We ended up with (a large booze company) owning 80 per cent and me keeping 20 per cent. I’m completely happy. The cheque didn’t bounce.
"I have everything I could possibly want... I’m still playing music because it’s awesome. I don’t need to do it for the money. I do it for me."
No part of the ongoing Van Halen reunion, Hagar has teamed up with ex-bandmate Michael Anthony, Red Hot Chili Peppers star Chad Smith and guitar great Joe Satriani to form Chickenfoot.
