GUILLEMOTS TIP HAWLEY FOR MERCURY RISE

Rock newcomers THE GUILLEMOTS are predicting fellow Mercury Music Prize nominee RICHARD HAWLEY will claim the award this year (06). The British band are one of 12 acts up for the prestigious prize this year, alongside ARCTIC MONKEYS, MUSE, THOM YORKE and THE EDITORS, with winners being announced on 5 September (06). Guillemots frontman FYFE DANGERFIELD says, "I love Richard Hawley's album. I think he deserves to win. "He's the man! He's much taller, he's got better hair."
