GROHL, HOMME AND JONES TO MAKE LIVE DEBUT AS THEM CROOKED VULTURES
DAVE GROHL, JOSH HOMME and JOHN PAUL JONES will make their live debut as rock supergroup THEM CROOKED VULTURES at a concert in Chicago, Illinois this weekend.
The Foo Fighters frontman, Queens Of The Stone Age star Homme and Led Zeppelin bassist Jones have been recording new tracks in Los Angeles and now they're ready to debut their new collaborative sound.
The group launched a new website and Twitter.com blog this month (Aug09), and the rockers are now preparing to showcase their new material at their first show at Chicago's Metro venue on Sunday (09Aug09).
The stars have yet to publicly comment on the new formation, but Homme's rocker wife Brody Dalle recently admitted the supergroup's music would blow fans away.
She said, "I'm not at liberty to talk about it... but I think (the project) is pretty f**king amazing. Just beats and sounds like you've never heard before."
Them Crooked Vultures aren't the only rocking supergroup hitting the headlines this summer (09) - Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith and Joe Satriani's band Chickenfoot's first dates have been sell outs and their self-titled debut album, released in June (09), is a big hit.
