GRINCH MUSICAL GOES TO BROADWAY

A musical adaptation of DR SEUSS' holiday tale HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS will make its Broadway, New York debut in November (06). The widow of Dr Seuss, real name THEODOR GEISEL, will serve as an associate producer of the New York City stage show. The book, which was first published in 1957, tells the story of a scruffy, mean-spirited Grinch who steals the holiday - presents, trees and all - from a cheerful group of characters called the Whos, who live in Whoville. The musical is currently a regional production at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California and will make its Broadway debut at the Hilton Theatre from 8 November (06) to 7 January (07).
