GRIFFITHS STUMPS FANS AFTER 80-POUND WEIGHT LOSS

Heavyweight HARRY POTTER star RICHARD GRIFFITHS has shed 80 pounds (36.29 kilograms) in preparation for his Broadway appearance in EQUUS.
The Tony Award-winning actor once tipped the scales at 300 pounds (136.08 kilograms).
But the star has become almost unrecognisable after dropping the weight as he prepares for his role alongside Potter pal Daniel Radcliffe when the stage production they starred in in London's West End comes to New York this autumn (08).
A source tells the New York Post the History Boys star was almost unrecognisable at a recent event: "He was telling stories of his early days at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, but some of the regulars didn't recognise him."
