GRIFFITHS FLIES HOME TO HELP SAVE WEDDING VENUE
Actress RACHEL GRIFFITHS has axed her New Year plans in her adopted America to jet back to Australia and save the theatre where she wed. The Muriel's Wedding star's mother is spearheading a campaign to save Palais Theatre in Melbourne, and Griffiths has flown in to add a little star power. The actress wed husband Andrew Taylor at the theatre on New Year's Eve (31Dec) in 2002. Memento star Guy Pearce is also part of the steering group to save the famous venue from renovation.
