GREEN DAY TEACH KAISER CHIEFS TO BEHAVE

KAISER CHIEFS have toned down their rock 'n' roll ways while on tour - after GREEN DAY taught them a lesson in music manners.
The British rockers were convinced they would take part in backstage mayhem while touring with the punk veterans - but were stunned to find the trio were punctual and polite.
Drummer Nick Hodgson says, "They're very ordinary. We thought that Green Day would be real rock 'n' roll divas until we went on tour with them from Ireland to Scotland.
"The manager told us we had to get off the tour bus when we boarded the ferry and we said, 'I bet Green Day don't have to.'
"But when we got off the bus we saw that Green Day were the first off, sat in a cafe at 6am."
But Hodgson admits he still takes advantage of his rock star status on occasion: "Sometimes you get last orders after last orders and that kind of thing. And I seem to spend a lot of time on the phone to (utility company) British Gas. As soon as they find out I'm a Kaiser Chief, they suddenly become much more helpful."
