GRANT GETS STAR ON WALK OF FAME

US singer AMY GRANT has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Christian artist was joined by husband VINCE GILL, friends and fans as her star was unveiled on Tuesday night (19SEP06). She told the crowd, "I see all my family, co-workers and friends and I have to say nothing happens alone. "Life is like a massive vessel. You don't sail alone, and sometimes I feel like the naked lady on the front of the ship. It's been an exciting ride." Grant, 45, was a teenage floor sweeper at a music studio when an executive overheard a tape of her songs. She went on to record her first album in 1977.
