GRAMMER WINS EMMY FOR SIMPSONS

KELSEY GRAMMER picked up his fifth Emmy on Wednesday (19JUL06) when he was honoured for Outstanding Voiceover Performance for THE SIMPSONS. Grammer's voice work for BART SIMPSON's nemesis SIDESHOW BOB on the animated comedy was lauded by the Academy of Television Arts + Sciences, but he will have to wait until 19 August (06) to pick up his prize at Hollywood's Shrine Auditorium. Other winners of the juried categories include the costume designers on MAD TV, BENISE: NIGHTS OF FIRE and DANCING WITH THE STARS and the animators of CLASSICAL BABY 2, ESCAPE FROM CLUSTER PRIME, ROBOT CHICKEN, THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JUNIPER LEE, FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS and THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY + MANDY.
