GOSSELAAR GOES BACK TO ZACK FOR FALLON SKIT
Former SAVED BY THE BELL star MARK-PAUL GOSSELAAR has backed a campaign to reunite the cast of the hit teen show - by appearing on U.S. TV dressed as his beloved character ZACK MORRIS.
Talk show host Jimmy Fallon and actor Dennis Haskins, who played school principal Mr. Belding, demanded the series to be brought back during a recent episode of Fallon's Late Night talk show.
Gosselaar was later quizzed by People magazine over whether he would be willing to team up with his former co-stars for a new project - and claimed he would consider reprising the role.
And the actor showed how keen he was while filming a guest slot on Fallon's show - dressing in his character's early 1990s get-up, including rolled-up sleeves, stonewashed jeans and died blond quiff.
Holding a huge, primitive cell phone, Gosselaar played the part throughout the sketch, telling Fallon, "It's been a long strange trip since my days at Bayside, but hey, I can't complain."
The skit will be shown on America's NBC on Tuesday night (09Jun09).
