GOODY'S HUSBAND ON RAPE CHARGE

The widower of British reality TV star JADE GOODY was held on remand on Saturday (05Sep09) after he was charged with raping a teenage girl.
Jack Tweed, who wed Big Brother star Goody just weeks before she lost her battle to cervical cancer in March (09), was arrested at his East London home on Friday morning (04Sept09) amid accusation he had sexually assaulted a 19 year old girl after a boozy night out.
The police took him and another man, 20 year old Ashley Rubin, in for questioning at separate London stations and eventually charged Tweed with one count of rape.
He appeared at Redbridge Magistrates' Court on Saturday (05Sep09) and did not apply for bail.
A third man was also arrested and is currently being held at a London police station.
Rubin was released on bail pending further inquiries.
