GOODMAN RETURNS TO FILM AFTER SETTLING LAWSUIT
Actor JOHN GOODMAN has rejoined the cast of forthcoming movie POPE JOAN, after settling a $3 million (GBP1.5 million) legal dispute with the film's production company.
Goodman was set to star in next year's (09) release - about a legendary female pope in the middle ages - but pulled out to take a role in action movie Speed Racer.
The resignation prompted bosses of Swiss-based company Constantin Film to sue him for breach of contract.
Both parties have now agreed to leave the terms of the agreement undisclosed, although Constantin executives have confirmed the case has been settled - and Goodman is back onboard.
