GOODE WORRIED ABOUT COMIC-CON DEBUT

British actor MATTHEW GOODE studied his comic books before his first appearance at Comic-Con in San Diego, California this weekend (26Jul08) - because he didn't want to come across as "a complete loser".
The Match Point star was attending the comic book convention to promote new movie Watchmen, which is based on the most successful graphic novel ever published.
And he felt more than a little nervous at the prospect of meeting fans who knew more about his character, a genetically-engineered lynx called Bubastis, than he did.
Speaking before his appearance, he admitted it's time to take the comic book world very seriously: "As far as superhero films, it's (Watchmen) the Citizen Kane of that world.
"Apparently, it's crazy down there (at Comic-Con). I'm going to re-read Watchmen again before I go because they'll know every single thing about it, and I'm going to stand there looking like a complete loser."
